GBC Founder Patrick Burns Honored by Chicago-Kent College of Law, “125 Alumni of Distinction”

GBC Founder Patrick Burns was honored as one of IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law’s “125 Alumni of Distinction,” an honor marking the school’s 125th anniversary. The year-long nomination process for this prestigious award amassed over 400 nominations. Mr. Burns was selected as one of an elite group of “innovative and successful alumni who have helped shape the legal profession, given back to their communities and to the law school and helped raise the profile of Chicago-Kent on a global level.”

 

Mr. Burns was recognized for his important role in shaping the intellectual property legal profession. He is an accomplished intellectual property attorney in patent prosecution and litigation, prolific author and lecturer, adjunct professor, and leader in several bar organizations. Mr. Burns has previously been named to the Leading Lawyer’s Network by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Chicago-Kent IP Law Society in 2009.
