Luana Faria is an attorney at Greer, Burns & Crain in Chicago. Her practice focuses on trademark and copyright enforcement, where she brings a practical, enforcement-driven perspective shaped by years of experience in brand protection, intellectual property enforcement, and cybersecurity.

Before joining Greer, Burns & Crain, Ms. Faria served as an enforcement specialist at a global e-commerce company, where she worked directly on intellectual property takedowns and platform-level enforcement initiatives. In that role, she gained first-hand insight into how major online marketplaces evaluate infringement claims, respond to enforcement requests, and apply internal policies. This experience allows her to advise clients strategically and efficiently when enforcing rights online.

Ms. Faria also worked at a cybersecurity and brand protection company providing anti-fraud and enforcement services to large corporations in Brazil and Latin America, including retailers, financial institutions, and media companies. She supported cross-border brand protection efforts, counterfeit investigations, and digital enforcement strategies, which gave her a global, technology-focused understanding of modern infringement risks.

Ms. Faria earned her Law Degree from Faculdade Sinergia in Brazil and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Loyola University Chicago. During law school, she spent two years as a legal intern for a State Criminal Court Judge in Brazil, assisting in all phases of criminal proceedings. She also worked as a corporate legal intern for a port in Brazil, where she was exposed to trade, customs, and logistics procedures that frequently intersect with counterfeiting and cross-border enforcement matters.
