Jen Nacht is an intellectual property attorney at Greer, Burns & Crain in the Chicago, Illinois office.  She practices patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and is a member of GBC’s Anti-Counterfeiting and Online Enforcement group.

Prior to joining Greer, Burns & Crain, Ms. Nacht’s practice primarily focused on patent drafting, patent opinion writing, trademark enforcement, and Trademark Trial & Appeal Board (TTAB) representation. Ms. Nacht also spent several years working as a contracted Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Examiner for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, which provided her an inside view into the patent examination process.

Ms. Nacht graduated, with Honors, from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, and received CALI Excellence Awards in Contract Law, Constitutional Law, and Sports & the Law. As a law student, Ms. Nacht was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and competed in the Saul Lefkowitz (Trademark) Moot Court. In her final year of law school, she was awarded the Dolores K. Hanna Trademark Award.

Before entering the legal field, Ms. Nacht worked in the fields of Chemical Waste Disposal & Environmental Sciences. Ms. Nacht received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
