Martin F. Trainor is an attorney at Greer, Burns & Crain Ltd. In Chicago, Illinois, where he focuses on IP litigation and is a member of GBC’s anti-counterfeiting and online trademark enforcement team.
Mr. Trainor received his J.D., along with a Certificate in Intellectual Property, from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, he served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property. While attending law school, Mr. Trainor worked as a law clerk at a local patent litigation boutique where he participated in all stages of licensing discussions, including drafting initial communications to licensees and discussions regarding patent infringement and validity. He also prepared patent claim charts in the areas of database replication systems and methods, database searching procedures, and auxiliary data detection systems.
Before coming to Greer, Burns & Crain, he was a judicial law clerk for a Cook County Judge in the Motions Calendar of the Law Division.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Trainor earned a B.S. in Physics from Concordia University in 2015.
